fraternity system
In order to add an extra level of interest to the TCG, we've created the Fraternity System. With it, you'll be able to assemble a party of three game guys and take on special game challenges. As your guys earn experience, they'll level up and become more powerful, gaining access to more difficult challenges with better rewards.
Read on for more details. ^_^
recruiting party members
In order to recruit party members, you'll have to level up and master a specified number of decks. In addition, you'll need to complete several other TCG-y tasks that you choose from a master list of tasks. Naturally, the requirements are more difficult each time, but that's just motivation, right?
Please see the recruit & manage page for information about the requirements AND to inform us of your progress!
classes, stats, & experience
There are five character classes:
Knight, Priest, Sorceror, Thief, Archer
And there are five different stats:
Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Faith, Endurance
Each stat has its own color, and is useful to two of the classes.
The table below shows which classes use which stat types.
| color (stat) | primary user | secondary user |
| red (strength) | Knight | Thief |
| orange (agility) | Thief | Archer |
| green (intelligence) | Sorceror | Priest |
| blue (faith) | Priest | Knight |
| violet (endurance) | Archer | Sorceror |
Why are there colors? Because each challenge will give out experience for your party as well as TCG rewards for you! The experience orbs are color coded according to their stats.
Each orb will work only for the classes listed in the table. For example, if you get a red orb, you can only use it to level up a Knight or Thief type character. The orbs you receive after completing a challenge are given at random, so there is a chance of receiving an orb that you can't use. But don't worry; you can trade them with other members who might need them!
However, experience isn't the only requirement for leveling up your characters! You also need to master decks. When you master, you choose which character gets credit for the deck. We'll keep track on the party page too.
Once you gather enough experience in the right colors and master enough sets for your character, you'll be ready to level him up. See the recruit & manage page for information about experience and mastery requirements for leveling up your guys!
stat development
Each character of the same class starts with the same basic stats. They are:
| Knight | Thief | Archer | Sorceror | Priest |
|
strength: 3 agility: 1 endurance: 2 intelligence: 1 faith: 2 luck: 1 |
strength: 2 agility: 3 endurance: 2 intelligence: 1 faith: 1 luck: 1 |
strength: 2 agility: 2 endurance: 3 intelligence: 1 faith: 1 luck: 1 |
strength: 1 agility: 2 endurance: 2 intelligence: 3 faith: 1 luck: 1 |
strength: 1 agility: 2 endurance: 1 intelligence: 2 faith: 3 luck: 1 |
With each level up, your character will gain:
- 2 points in his primary stat
- 1 point in his secondary stat
- 3 extra points to add on however you choose!
This way, you can develop your characters freely. But remember, some challenges have different stat requirements, so don't use all your points for all three characters on Strength or you might find yourself in trouble!
Hmm, and what's luck for...? ^_~
skills
When your character reaches level five, he will automatically learn a skill. The skills are randomly chosen from these five:
scan - gives a minor hint about how to solve the challenge
navi - gives a hint about the location of a hidden link, item, or challenge
boost - increases character's stats by 150% (1.5 x normal stats)
search - increases challenge rewards
freeze - lowers challenge's stat requirement by 30%
Don't worry about getting duplicate skills; we're not THAT mean. ^_^ Each of your three characters will learn a different skill.
Naturally, these skills will help you with the challenges, but only ONE skill can be used per challenge, so choose wisely!
There will be a form on the page of each challenge for skill use.
weapons
Your characters will be able to use the themed currency (light and dark) in the special shops found on the forum. Hero players can purchase holy weapons for their characters, and villain players can purchase dark weapons.
Weapons give small stat boosts that will give you an edge in challenges!
Plus. They look cool. =p
You can view the weapons on the weaponry page.
party cards
Each party member will have a party card that displays all of his information; his image, name, class, commander (that's you!), skill, and stats. An example is below.
(Only a sample. *sniff* But I reallllly want Hugo as a party member. <3)
The party cards will be created and edited by us to reflect level ups and skill learning. We will display them on the party page, but of course, you're welcome to display your beauties on your trade post as well! Don't forget to update them when we make changes!
